Tour NSU’s New Exercise and Sport Science Lab at Open House Event, Apr. 18

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences invites you to tour the college’s new Exercise and Sport Science Teaching and Research Laboratory, which opened its doors in Winter 2012. This state-of-the-art lab accommodates students and faculty members in the college’s exercise and sport science program.

Laboratory Open House
Wednesday, Apr. 18
3:30–5:00 p.m.
University Park Plaza | Suite 3532

This multifaceted facility allows students to further study various specializations including exercise physiology, motor control, and biomechanics. Lab equipment and tools enable students to practice assessments in balance, body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, electromyography, endurance, flexibility, functional movement, muscular strength, reaction time, and running and walking gait.

During the open house, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about research conducted in the lab by students and faculty members, and, time permitting, receive an analysis of body composition, reaction time, or flexibility, time permitting. The event is free, and all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

For more information, contact Monique Mokha, Ph.D., ATC, LAT, at (954) 262-8046.
