The workshop is for those interested in, or starting to use, interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). No prior knowledge is assumed. The workshop will begin by outlining the theoretical underpinnings of IPA. I will then go through the stages involved in conducting an IPA research study: design, data collection, analysis, writing up.  This will include some practical hands-on work to help facilitate participants’ skill acquisition.

Facilitator: Professor Jonathan A Smith, Birkbeck University of London, UK
