I Lobe the Brain, a yearly program presented by Leanne Boucher, Ph.D., of NSU Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences to teach children about the 4 lobes of the brain took place at the Alvin Sherman Library, Research Information Technology Center on Saturday, March 15. The program included 9 NSU student volunteers (Amanda Smith, Michael Hellman, Jenna DiCarlo, Andrea Chico, Paula Munoz, Jana Mrkaja, Anik Roy, Roasario Echeguren & Whitney Van Arsdale), 3 NSU professors (Boucher, Munoz, and Collins) and Youth Services Librarian Meagan Albright. Children met Fred the Head and learned about the 4 lobes of your brain through an interactive talk where they could touch and feel what’s going on inside their heads! Brain crafts and stories were also featured.
