Test of NSU’s ALERT Emergency Notification System, March 31
At Nova Southeastern University, the safety of our students, faculty and staff is our highest priority. As such, the university will be testing the capabilities of the NSU ALERT Emergency Notification System on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
The NSU ALERT Notification System capabilities that we will test at 2:00 pm include:
mass email; SMS text messages; indoor and outdoor public address systems, including two-way classroom intercoms and emergency blue light phones; digital signage; social media sites; SharkTube displays; computer pop up alerts; campus cable TV (residential hall facilities); NSU’s emergency hotline (800-256-5065) and emergency updates at www.nova.edu/emergency.
This test is being conducted university wide. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A TEST.
Update Your Campus Emergency Alert Number
To register your information or to check and update your exisiting contact information, please click on the link: www.nova.edu/emergency/notification/registration-process.html. The phone number(s) registered as your Campus Emergency Alert Number will be the number(s) used in this test and when there is an emergency.
Remember this is only a test of the NSU ALERT Emergency Notification System. It will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.
