Test of the NSU Emergency Notification System on July 28
At Nova Southeastern University, the safety of our students, faculty and staff is our highest priority. As such, the university will be testing all components of the NSU Emergency Notification System on Wednesday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m.
This may include: mass email; SMS text messages; indoor and outdoor public address systems, including two-way classroom intercoms and emergency blue light phones; “Sharktube” displays throughout campus buildings; digital signage; NSU’s emergency hotline (800-256-5065) and emergency updates at www.nova.edu/emergency.
This test is being conducted university wide. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A TEST.
Update Campus Emergency Alert Number
NSU students, faculty and staff should visit the NSU WebSTAR system (http://webstar.nova.edu) to ensure you have registered the telephone number where you can be reached as your Campus Emergency Alert Number. To update your Campus Emergency Alert Number, go to the WebSTAR site. After logging in to WebSTAR, the red-striped box on the right side of the page has links to view or update your Campus Emergency Alert Number and instructions. The phone number(s) registered as your Campus Emergency Alert Number will be the number(s) used in this test and when there is an emergency.
Remember this is only a test of the NSU Emergency Notification System. It will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28.
Thank you for your attention to this important security test.
