Swimming and Diving Teams Takes Second at SSC Championships

The Nova Southeastern men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams culminated their trip to the  Sunshine State Conference Championships with both teams earning second-place finishes.

On the women’s side, Tampa claimed the title with 892 points. NSU followed behind with 867 and Florida Southern rounded out the top three with 706 points. Lauren Chapple (So., London, England) took home the Women’s Swimmer of the Meet honors. Chapple earned the award by breaking both the SSC meet record and overall conference record in two events: the 400-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly.

The men also claimed a second-place finishing behind Florida Southern, who dominated the meet with 940 points. NSU followed with 780 points and Tampa rounded out the top three with 726 points. Complete Release
