Three Swimmers Earn Capital One Academic All-Region

Kelsea Smith

The NSU men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs collectively had three student-athletes honored as Capital One Academic All-Region team members, as announced by CoSIDA last Thursday. Rebecca BergenKelsea Smith and Michael Zislin are the Sharks’ honorees and are now eligible for Academic All-American status.

These honors represent the strong academic standards of the NSU swimming and diving programs. These honors were for the award program’s at-large category, meaning the swimmers had to beat out athletes from several other sports to be recognized. Complete Release
