Surf Clinic to be hosted by Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, Oct. 10

The UM-NSU CARD (University of Miami – Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities), along with the Autism Society of America, will host a FREE autism surfing clinic on Oct. 10 from 9 – 11 a.m. where Meade Street intersects with Hollywood Beach.

This program is offered for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. Participation is limited for safety and advanced registration is required, so sign up early to reserve a spot by emailing shhoaglund@aol.com.

Additional supporting organizations include Hang Loose Surf School, Inc.; City of Hollywood Ocean Rescue and Fire Rescue; B-C Surf and Sport; Surfrider Foundation’s Broward chapter; the Autism Society of America’s Broward Chapter; and the UM-NSU CARD.
