Subscribe to the “Management Tip of the Week” From the Huizenga Business School
The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Management Program is excited to bring to you a new weekly “Management Tip of the Week” column. Topics already explored by business professors include Mastering Strategic Improvisation; When Angry, Exercise the Freedom to Choose Your Response; Fun in the Workplace; Proactively Reflect on the Past Year; and Workplace Bullying.
This week’s tip, Workplace Bullying, covers one of the most common ethical issues in the modern workplace – abusive behavior. Abusive behaviors include emotional abuse, intimidation, yelling, and related mistreatment. The workplace bully can be a supervisor and/or a co-worker, and negative consequences are not isolated to the victims – bystanders or witnesses to workplace bullying also suffer. A corporate culture of mutual respect will go far in advancing the goal of a positive work environment.
You can read the full tip to learn more about Workplace Bullying and subscribe to the column through the Huizenga Business School’s RSS feed here: http://www.huizenga.nova.edu/management-tips/.
