Students Inducted into Paralegal Studies Honor Society
The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences inducted two undergraduate students into Lambda Epsilon Chi, the national honor society for paralegal studies, during a ceremony at NSU on Apr. 7. Students Tina Chen and Michelle McCoy became the newest inductees to NSU’s chapter by earning at least a 3.5 GPA after completing two-thirds of the college’s paralegal studies curriculum.
On hand to celebrate the students’ achievements were Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences; Tom Fagan, Ph.D., director of the college’s Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences; Ellen Kracoff, J.D., assistant professor in the college; and Jessica Garcia-Brown, J.D., LL.M., faculty adviser for Lambda Epsilon Chi and associate professor in the college.
Also attending the ceremony was Gary M. Singer, J.D., who served as guest speaker. Singer, an alumnus of the college and NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center, now heads a law firm in Broward County.
