In November, NSU student-athletes participated in a networking workshop hosted by NSU Career Services. After the workshop, the student-athletes had the opportunity to meet and network with representatives from 12 local and regional South Florida businesses.

The event lasted nearly two hours and featured a 30 minute presentation by NSU Career Services personnel followed by an interactive workshop where student-athletes could meet one-on-one with prospective employers, as well as receive tips and advice to increase their chances of getting a job, such as proper professional attire for an interview.

Twelve companies participated in the event and discussed internship and full-time positions with the student-athletes. The companies and individuals represented were Miami Dolphins, The Orange Bowl Committee, Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Marc Sawiiki, P.A., Nancy Olsen, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Morgan Stanley, Enterprise Holdings, Western and Southern Life, Donor Community, SCORE and Suncoast Community.
