Student Volunteers needed for Children Health Fair, Deadline Oct. 15

NSU will host the 16th annual A Day for Children Health fair on Sunday, October 21st. This year NSU is expecting over 15,000 community residents.

This annual health fair will take place at NSU’s Fort Lauderdale campus and will provide free health screenings for children of all ages. Vision, speech, nursing, dental, as well as physical and occupational therapy are some of the services provided by NSU’s Healthcare Centers.

In addition to the health screenings, there are a variety of activities for children, including a bounce house, face painting, storybook characters, supervised sports activities, arts and crafts, games, free food and more. At this event, there will be a number of guest appearances by athletes from famous sports teams in the area.

The Day for Children Committee is requesting NSU students to come out and volunteer for this event. By simply donating 3 hours of volunteer work, you will be able to participate in all of these activities throughout the rest of the day. Volunteer work can include many things such as registration and assisting vendors at the event. If you are interested in volunteering, please follow the link below to sign up. The link is as follows, and can also be found at the “Forms” tab on the Student Leadership & Civic Engagement page on OrgSync:  https://orgsync.com/45785/forms/331010
