Daisy Benavides, an undergraduate student at NSU’s Miami Student Educational Center, was honored by the Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon on Apr. 22 held at the Capri Restaurant in Homestead, Fla. Benavides, who is majoring in elementary education, received the Student of the Quarter award for post-secondary institutions.
