Step Up and Audition for Dance Works
Calling all dancers: here’s your chance to grace the stage at NSU! The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will be hosting auditions on Aug. 30, for its upcoming Dance Works production.
Dance Works showcases new choreography and works in progress in an informal setting. Audiences are invited to participate in a Q&A with the dancers and choreographers after the show or attend the open dress rehearsal. Click here to view photos of the 2009 Dance Works production.
Auditions will be held in the Performance Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center, from 4 to 6 p.m. All NSU students, faculty and staff members, and members of the community are invited to audition. No experience necessary. Callbacks will be held on Aug. 31, from 6 to 7 p.m., at NSU.
The college will present Dance Works at NSU, Nov. 5–6. For more information, contact Elana Lanczi, M.F.A., assistant professor in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
