NSU Respresented at Sunshine State Conference in Orlando
NSU sent two representatives from SAAC to the Sunshine State Conference in Orlando, Fl. The primary topic of discussion at this year’s conference was the future of the SAAC committees. The weekend was spent focusing on how to work in a conference-style setting, sharing ideas, and listening to personal opinions on topics that deal with improving the relationships between the athletes and their schools.
One item that NSU will be working on this year is raising awareness of the Make-A-Wish foundation that is chartered on campus. Several ideas were discussed on different fundraisers that can be immediately implemented to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
