Special Olympics Needs Volunteers for Bowling Tournament on Sat. Sept. 24

Have fun and be a part of a great cause by volunteering with Special Olympics Broward County, housed at NSU, during this weekend’s Area 10 Bowling Tournament.

The Sat. Sept. 24 event will bring together friendly, competitive bowlers from Broward, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River Counties.

The tournament is being held at Sawgrass Lanes, at 8501 N. University Drive in Tamarac. The day’s schedule and available volunteer shifts include:

  • Volunteer Check-in/training, from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.
  • Opening Ceremonies, from 8:00 to 8:25 a.m.
  • Competition, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Shift A – Check-in at 7:45 a.m., finish by 11:00 a.m.
    Shift B – Check-in at 10:30 a.m., finish by 1:30 p.m.
    Shift C – Check-in at 1:00 p.m., finish by 4:00 p.m.
    Shift D- Check-in at 3:30 p.m., finish by 6:00 p.m.
