Special Olympics Honors Athletes, Volunteers with Appreciation Picnic
More than 300 Special Olympics Broward County (SOBC) athletes and their friends and supporters recently celebrated a great year of friendly sporting competition at the group’s 2010 Appreciation Picnic.
During the picnic, SOBC, which is permanently housed at NSU, honored all of the athletes, families, board members, law enforcement supporters, sponsors and volunteers for all their hard work and support – including the group’s own “Super Hero” Don Taft.
The picnic festivities also featured carnival games, relay and sack races, a magic show, and sports demonstrations.
