Smoking Cessation Video Earns Emmy Award for NSU Employees

Who would have thought that making NSU a smoke-free campus would result in Emmy wins for three creative employees?
Congratulations to NSU employees: Paolo Mugnaini and Carlos Sande from Digital Media and Maria Tako, who recently won an Emmy from the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the video, “Smoking Cessation.”
The Emmy win – for the Best Public Service Announcement – was presented at the 36th Annual Emmy Awards. Tako, who currently works as Associate University Counsel, served as Executive Producer on the project.
The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a nonprofit Florida corporation dedicated to excellence in television.
