Sixth Annual “A Night in Roma” Event Set for June 14

The Nova Southeastern University Department of Athletics will host its sixth annual A Night in Roma event benefitting the Tony Segreto Athletic Scholarship Fund on Tuesday, June 14 at 6 pm in the Arena at the Don Taft University Center on NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus.

The event replicates New York City’s Mulberry Street with restaurant booths, live musical entertainment, along with multiple bocce ball courts, a selection of raffle baskets, and high-end auction items. Showcasing a variety of Italian flare, Anthony’s Runway 84 and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza generously cater the event along with assorted Italian desserts and fresh breads from Mimi’s Ravioli, gourmet espresso and cappuccinos from Café Ala Carte, as well as a selection of Italian beer from Total Beverage Solution and wines from Premier Beverage Company.

Tony Segreto, chair of the Athletic Advisory Council and current NSU Board of Trustee, continues to be an integral part of the South Florida community. Following his retirement from NBC6 in 2009, Segreto established a scholarship fund in his name to support student-athletes who otherwise might not have had the opportunity for a quality education. The Tony Segreto Athletics Scholarship has generated over $100,000 for student-athlete scholarships at NSU. The athletic department will award the sixth recipient of the scholarship at this year’s event.

Individual tickets for the event cost $100.00, which includes all food, beverages, and entertainment. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call 954-922-7013 or email To purchase tickets online, click HERE.
