Six Swimmers Earn All-SSC Honors

The NSU swimming and diving teams earned a combined six All-Sunshine State Conference honors, as recently announced by the conference office.

Marco Aldabe (Fr., Alicante, Spain) wrapped up a stellar freshman campaign by being named SSC Freshman of the Year, as well as taking first-team honors alongside senior Florian Mehlan (Moers, Germany). Junior women’s swimmers Lauren Chapple (London, England) and Emma Lawrenz (Minnetonka, Minn.) each were selected to the first team, signifying their places among the nine best swimmers in the league. Men’s swimmers Addison Cates (Jr., Port Charlotte, Fla.) and Cameron Chambers (Sr., St. Petersburg, Fla.) both received second-team honors
