SHSS to Host Session on Anti-Bullying and Diversity, Nov. 2
NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) is offering the second workshop related to anti-bullying and diversity at the Alvin Sherman Library. The workshop is offered as part of Peace Place, a program offered by SHSS’ Community Resolution Services (CRS).
The workshop, “Breaking Down Barriers: Staring Diversity in the Face,” will be held from 1 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the Sherman Library, room 3016, The discussion will be facilitated by Maria Davis-Pierre, doctoral student in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT).
This interactive panel discussion will provide an opportunity for the panelists and attendees to share their experiences and discuss how they were able to be resilient in these situations. The goal of this dialogue is to provide a thought provoking discussion on how one can be resilient in the face of adversity and how we can all learn acceptance of our differences.
