SHSS Students to Present Workshop on Graduate Study at the Alvin Sherman Library, May 4

Mary O’Grady, M.A., doctoral candidate and Brooklyn Welden, M.A. doctoral student in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) will offer a workshop entitled “Freeze Your Professor and Other Coping Strategies for Graduate Students,” at the Alvin Sherman Library on Wednesday, May 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. in room 3018. The workshop will be of special interest to those in graduate school or contemplating graduate studies. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The presentation is sponsored by Peace Place, a part of Community Resolution Services (CRS). Peace Place is one of the projects of CRS and is a unique partnership between CRS and the Broward County Library System whereby CRS provides free workshops and presentations regarding issues of peace and peace building for the public in various county libraries across the county.

Community Resolution Services (CRS) offers training sessions, workshops, mediation, facilitation, conflict coaching and consulting services to individuals, families, groups, and organizations to resolve conflicts. It is a provider of Continuing Mediation Education (CME) units. CRS is especially committed to providing access to services for our underserved community members and partners with many community agencies and groups. CRS can tailor its programs and services to meet the needs of agencies and organizations.
