SHSS Students Participate in Back to School Health Fair

MFT interns at Back to School Health FairThe MFT Club (Marriage and Family Club) sponsored by the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) ) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), recently organized student interns to participate in the Back to School Health Fair at Lauderdale Manors Elementary School. Other participating schools included Martin Luther King, Northside Elementary, Rock Island, Sunland Park and Thurgood Marshall. MFT Club President Jessica Guevera organized the participation of the interns, which included Rhesa Riley, Amalia Gutierrez, and Katya Tikhonravova.

The MFT Club is open to students in the M.S. Family Therapy program. The goal of the club is to enhance and share the knowledge, skills, and networking necessary to successfully complete the program, transition into the profession, and provide collegial support. The faculty advisor is Anne Rambo, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the M.S. and Graduate Certificate programs in DFT.
