SHSS Student Presents at the Institute of Conflict Resolution at University of Florida

Nadine Pierre-Louis, Doctoral Student Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences

 

Nadine Pierre-Louis, a doctoral student in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) at NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), recently made a presentation at the Institute of Conflict Resolution at the University of Florida. The presentation was part of continuing mediator education. Pierre-Louis’ presentation was entitled, “Implications of ‘Face-saving’ in Emotional De-escalation: A Valuable Tool in Mediation.”

Pierre-Louis, a licensed family therapist, is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Circuit Civil Court Mediator.
