SHSS and IGAAR to Screen Film “Earth Made of Glass”, April 16
The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) and the Institute for Genocide Awareness and Applied Research (IGAAR) will screen the film, Earth Made of Glass, on Tuesday, April 16 in room 2058 in the Maltz Building. The film examines the search for justice in post-genocide Rwanda and the choices survivors have to make regarding revenge or forgiveness for those who killed their family members. April is National Genocide Awareness Month and marks the 19th anniversary of the 1994 Rwandan genocide that led to the deaths of over 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus. Refreshments will be served.
IGAAR is devoted to genocide research and the prevention of genocide around the world. Jason J. Campbell, Ph.D., faculty in SHSS is the executive director and founder.
