SHSS Hosts Workshop Series, Starts April 6

Community Resolution Services (CRS) housed in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) is hosting a series of workshops focusing on Peace and Society. The series is held in the Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center and is open to the public. The next series is expected to take place in the spring.

The series is offered as part of Peace Place a program offered by CRS. CRS offers a variety of services to the local community including facilitation, conflict coaching, workshops, and training to organizations, families, and communities. Peace Place, a collaboration between SHSS and the Broward County Library System, provides presentations and workshops for the NSU and local communities held in Broward County libraries.

Upcoming topics include:

  • Mom and Daughters: Dealing With the Mean Teen Years on April 6
  • The Connection Between Inner Peace and Social Peace on April 13
  • Environmental Peace Practices on April 27

The series is free and will be held at 1:30 pm on the above dates in the Alvin Sherman Library. Further information about each workshop will be announced.
