SHSS Hosts Internship Fair, Recognizes Edward Packer, D.O.

Honggang Yang , Ph.D, dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Edward Packer, D.O., chair & professor in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Osteopathic Medicine; Tommie Boyd, Ph.D., chair, Department of Family Therapy.

The Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) hosted the Annual Internship Fair on May 21st at the University Center. Each year, over 50 community sites are invited to share information with DFT masters and doctoral students for graduate placements in the field, as well as offer jobs to DFT graduates. This year, over 25 community agencies and organizations participated and over 40 students were in attendance.

In addition, Dean Honggang Yang, Ph.D, and Tommie Boyd, Ph.D., DFT Chair, presented the 2010 Appreciation Award to Edward Packer, D.O., Chair & Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Osteopathic Medicine at NSU, on behalf of SHSS.
