SHSS Faculty Member Provides Training on Domestic Violence to Future Physicians
Judith McKay, J.D., Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Multidisciplinary (DMS) at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) was invited to speak to first year students in the medical program at HPD. McKay’s presentation was entitled, “Domestic Violence for Physicians” and provided recent research and practical approaches in recognizing and addressing family violence.
McKay’s research and teaching interests include family violence, public policy, transformational narrative, conflict resolution applied processes, strategic community planning, and organizational conflict. She is also the director of Community Resolution Services (CRS), which offers a variety of services to the local community including mediation, facilitation, conflict coaching, workshops, and training.
