SHSS Faculty, Students and Alum Publish in International Journal of Solution-Focused Practices
Anne Rambo, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) has published two articles in the International Journal of Solution-Focused Practices, Vol 3, No1 (2015). One article is titled, “Culturally Competent Solution Focused Conversations with Caribbean-American Youth: A Case Example,” written by Rambo, Giselle Bayard, M.S., doctoral student in DFT and Jamie-Lyn Richardz, M.S., master’s graduate of DFT. Richardz is currently working at Legacy Behavioral Health in Palm Beach County.
The second article is titled, “From Get Tough to Solution Building: Case Examples from an Ongoing Solution Focused Redirection Program in the Public Schools,” written by Joan Collins Ricketts, M.S., doctoral student in DFT and Rambo.
Rambo is the Director of the master’s program in DFT. She has extensive experience working with children, families and schools. She coordinates DFT interns who provide family therapy services for Preventing Recidivism through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Support & Education (PROMISE,) a collaborative intervention and prevention program through the Broward County, Florida School District. The program is designed to assist Broward County students who have committed non-violent infractions by providing counseling, mentoring and behavioral support.
