SHSS Faculty, Students and Alum Help North Side Elementary School Celebrate Snow Day

On December 20, 2012, Anne Rambo, Ph.D. and Christine Ajayi, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), along with DFT graduate students helped students at North Side Elementary School celebrate the “North Side School Snow Day,” by distributing toys and other items collected through their annual toy and donation drive.

DFT students included Britt Alman, Vikke Brooks, Jennifer Charles, Aprile Coleman, Thiema Goldson, Bryan Gomes, Roseann Pascale, Elizabeth Pequet, Idit Sharoni, Joely Spencer, Maria Belen Van Thiesen, Farheen Waquad, and Alyson Wogenrich. Simone Finnis, M.S., DFT master’s graduate also participated in the donation drive.

Donations included basketballs, toys and a wonderful snow cone machine to help the students start their holiday celebrations. DFT graduate interns work at North Side and in other schools throughout the year to offer services to children and their families.
