SHSS Faculty Publish Book on Conflict Resolution Communication
Neil Katz, Ph.D., faculty and Chair of the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), and Marcia Sweedler, Ph.D., former Interim Chair and faculty in the department, have co-authored with John Lawyer the second edition of Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills.
Katz teaches courses including Negotiation Theory and Practice, Organizational Conflict Intervention, and The Reflective Practitioner: Consulting Conflict and Change in Organizational Settings with Leaders in Organizational Conflict: A Four Frame Approach. Sweedler teaches courses such as Communication Dynamics in Dispute Resolution: The Human Factor, Mediation Theory and Practice, and Gender and Conflict.
