SHSS Faculty Presents in England at the Oxford Round Table
Jason J. Campbell, Ph.D., faculty in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), gave a presentation at the 7th session on Environment and Climate Change at the University of Oxford’s Harris Manchester College in Oxford, England. The session was held as part of the Oxford Round Table, during July 22-26. The conference brought together interdisciplinary researchers to explore the complexities of climate change and the environment. Campbell’s presentation was entitled, “Eco-Consciousness and Genocide Prevention.” His paper investigated the conceptual relationship between environmental degradation and genocide.
Campbell’s teaching and research interests include genocide studies and prevention, the problem of evil, state endorsed mass extermination, international war and the theoretical understanding of exclusionary ideologies. Campbell is the executive director and founder of the Institute for Genocide Awareness and Applied Research (IGAAR).
