SHSS Faculty Presents at the State Government Affairs Council Annual Meeting

Neil Katz, Ph.D.

Neil Katz, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), presented a keynote address and a workshop at the State Government Affairs Council (SGAC) Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Katz’s talk was entitled “Negotiation Skills: Getting What You Need” and his workshop was entitled, “Leadership and Learning.” The annual meeting provides an opportunity for state government relations professionals to network and to learn more national and state issues and to enhance their skills.

Katz teaches courses including negotiation theory and practice, organizational conflict intervention, and the reflective practitioner: consulting conflict and change in organizational settings with leaders in organizational conflict: a four frame approach.
