SHSS Faculty Member Selected as a Minority Fellowship Program Mentor

Christine Ajayi, Ph.D.

Christine Ajayi, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT), in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), has been selected as a 2012-2013 SAMHSA/AAMFT Minority Fellowship Program Mentor.

The Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) funded federal initiative. The program is designed to increase the number of culturally-competent marriage and family therapists that provide substance abuse and other mental health services to underserved minority populations.   MFP Mentors provide academic, professional and career development guidance to AAMFT MFP Fellows from across the country. Fellows are marriage and family therapy doctoral students. Ajayi is also an alumnus of the AAMFT Minority Fellowship Program.
