SHSS Faculty Forms Student Group to Work with Organizations
Neil Katz, Ph.D., Chair and Professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) recently formed a new group for students, the Conflict Consulting and Training Group (CRCTG). The purpose of the group is to mentor those students in DCAR who are interested in learning more about organizational conflict analysis, intervention and enhancing their skills in these areas. The group has provided opportunities for selected students to accompany Katz as junior consultants in his work with such groups as the National League of Cities Executive Training Office in Colorado, the Association of Cable Communicators in New York City, and the Defense Comptrollers Program in New York. Katz and group members also provided training at NSU through the Office of Human Resources.
