SHSS Faculty Featured on NSU’s Dateline Health’s 300th Episode
Shelley Green, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) was a featured guest on the 300th episode of NSU’s Dateline Health, an award-winning public service television program run on Dec. 27, 2010. Green discussed equine therapy, which involves hands-on therapy sessions in which horses are used to help clients with various life challenges such as relationships. Green is an acknowledged expert in equine therapy and serves as the training director for Stable Foundations, an equine-assisted psychotherapy program.
In addition to her work with equine therapy, Green’s other research interests include human sexuality and gender, and systems theories. With her husband Douglas Flemons, Ph.D., also a professor in DFT, she is the co-editor of the book, Quickies: The Handbook of Brief Sex Therapy (2007).
