SHSS Faculty and Students Present Workshops for Public Safety and Public Managers
Neil Katz, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), recently presented two workshops in Syracuse, New York. The first, entitled, “Emotional Intelligence and Influencing with Integrity,” was presented with DCAR doctoral student Katherine Sosa to public safety officers at Syracuse University. The other workshop was entitled, “Dispute Resolution for Public Managers,” and was presented with DCAR doctoral student Jennifer de Zayas to defense comptrollers in Syracuse.
Katz teaches courses including Negotiation Theory and Practice, Organizational Conflict Intervention, and The Reflective Practitioner: Consulting Conflict and Change in Organizational Settings with Leaders in Organizational Conflict: A Four Frame Approach.
