SHSS Faculty and Alumna Present at IFTA 20th Annual Family Therapy World Congress

Tommie Boyd, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Family Therapy (DFT) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), and Yulia Watters, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in DFT, presented at the International Family Therapy Association’s (IFTA) 20th Annual Family Therapy World Congress, recently held in Vancouver, Canada. Their presentation was entitled, “Facing Illnesses and Losses: Biopsychosocial-Spiritual Approach in Couples Therapy.”

Boyd’s research interests include medial family therapy, aging, and other lifespan issues and family therapy pedagogies. Watters is a practicing family therapist and adjunct instructor for DFT.
