SHSS Doctoral Candidate Presents at Qualitative Conference in Canada
Stephen Pidwysocky, doctoral candidate in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) presented a paper at the 27th Annual Qualitative Analysis Conference: Social Pragmatism as a Conceptual Foundation. The conference was held at Wilfrid Laurier University, Brantford, Ontario, Canada on May 13-15.
Pidwysocky’s presentation was entitled, “It’s So Much Easier to Learn Online…Right?: A Reflexive Analysis of Online Learning in an American Doctoral Program.” He used reflexivity and social positioning theory as ways to begin understanding the experience of online learning.
