SHSS Alum Presents on Problem-solving and Conflict Transformation at University in Taiwan
Jenny Hsiu-Ying Chang, Ph.D., a doctoral graduate the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), was an invited speaker by the Department of Social Psychology at Shih Hsin University, Taiwan, late last year. Chang’s talk was titled: “Problem-Solving and Conflict Transformation: Cross-Cultural Perspective, “and there were more than 80 participants.
Chang has been a participant at conferences such as the International Conference on Citizens, Civil Society, and the Cultural Politics of Heritage-Making in East and Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong’s Social Transformation in the Context of Taiwan-Hong Kong Comparison. She has served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Mediator and has provided workshops on such topics as intercultural communication, trust and team building, and cross-cultural approaches to conflict resolution.
