SHSS Alum Presents at the Southeast Conference at Shih Hsin University in Taiwan
Jenny Hsiu-Ying Chang, Ph.D., a graduate of NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), presented at the 2014 Southeast Conference hosted by the Department of Social Psychology at Shih Hsin University in Taiwan. The conference theme was “Well-being of Family: Interdisciplinary Dialogue and Integration.”
Chang’s presentation was entitled, “Understanding Trust, Building Trusting Relationships: A Holistic Chinese View to Bridge Divergences and Support Compatibility.” Chang, who received her doctoral degree in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR), has served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Mediator and has provided workshops on such topics as intercultural communication, trust and team building, and cross-cultural approaches to conflict resolution.
