SHSS Alum Named Chief Financial Officer at Santa Fe Community College
Brian Ziemer, Ph.D., a graduate of the doctoral program in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Santa Fe Community College serves more than 15,000 students per year and offers over 100 degree and certificate programs. Zeimer stated that courses he took in College Student Affairs while at NSU provided him with the knowledge and command of student affairs issues that significantly contributed to his successful candidacy.
In addition to his doctoral degree from NSU, Zeimer earned a B.B.A. in Accountancy and Taxation from the University of Houston, an M.A. in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation from Abilene Christian University and is a CPA. Starting in January, Zeimer will also be teaching courses in conflict resolution at SFCC.
