SHSS Alum is Named Distinguished Visiting Professor at the US Army War College

Thomas Maytok, Ph.D.

Thomas Maytok, Ph.D.

Thomas Matyok, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), has been named a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the United States Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, PA. In 2013-14, Matyok was a visiting research professor at the U.S. Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute located in the War College.

Matyok is Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is the former director of the International Seafarer’s Center in Brunswick, GA and spent more than 20 years in the U.S. Army.
