SHSS Alum and Fulbright Scholar is Named State Level Security Advisor in South Sudan
Solomon Losha, Ph.D., doctoral graduate of the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) has been named the State Level Security Advisor for Southern Sudan by Management Systems International. Losha will work with the Conflict Mitigation and Stabilization Initiatives/Joint Operation Centers (CMSI/JOC) project in Southern Sudan. This project is designed to assist the nation in developing national and state-level capacity to understand, plan for, prevent, and mitigate conflict. He will work with state and local government officials, community and tribal leaders, NGOs, police, military and on international projects.
Losha came to DCAR as a Fulbright scholar from Cameroon in Africa. He returns to Africa prepared to help achieve capacity building, particularly with regards to conflict assessment, mapping, planning and response.
