SHSS Alum Establishes the Association of Conflict Competent Churches

Kenneth Newberger, Ph.D.

Kenneth Newberger, Ph.D., graduate of the doctoral program in Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) has established The Association of Conflict Competent Churches. The ACCC is designed to assist churches in gaining competence in addressing conflict through training and the creation and implementation of concrete conflict management plans.

In addition to his doctoral degree, Newberger holds a Th.M. from the Dallas Theological Seminary and is the author of the book, Hope in the Face of Conflict. He and his family are currently visiting South Africa where they are volunteering in a Christian school and orphanage.
