SHSS Alum appointed City Council Member in Miami Gardens
Erhabor Ighodaro, Ph.D., a graduate of the doctoral program in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), has been appointed Councilman St-Large Seat 6 for the City of Miami Gardens.
Ighdaro is the President of Oracle Consulting Group, a Miami firm that specializes in various conflict resolution interventions, including dispute systems design, conflict resolution, facilitation and mediation services for individuals, groups, and public and private sector agencies. He is an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Florida Memorial University. Ighodaro is the past President of the Rotary Club of Opa-Locka/Miami Gardens and the Executive Director of the Dr. Robert B. Ingram Foundation, Inc. He and Greg Wiggan, Ph.D. are the co-authors of the book, Curriculum Violence: America’s New Civil Rights Issue (2010).
