Sharks Receive Five Golf Honors From SSC
Junior men’s golfer Santiago Gomez and head coach Ryan Jamison won top honors on Tuesday as the Sunshine State Conference Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, in voting done conference-wide amongst head coaches.
In addition, women’s golfer Liliana Cammisa (Sr., Alta Gracia, Argentina) earned the third conference nod of her career, making All-SSC Second Team on Tuesday, while Richard Mansell (So., Nottinghamshire, England) joined Gomez (Jr., Armenia, Colombia) on the men’s All-SSC First Team.
The men’s duo has led their squad to the No. 1 ranking and the top seed in the South for the upcoming NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional, beginning on Monday, May 4. Cammisa heads the No. 2 nationally-ranked women, the third seed in the NCAA Super South Region, which tees off the day prior, on Sunday, May 3.
