Sharks Punch Ticket to Second Straight NCAA Tournament

BracketFor the second time in as many seasons and fourth overall in program history, the NSU women’s soccer team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament. Following a 12-3-3 campaign, the Sharks locked up the No. 3 seed in the South Region and will meet West Florida of the Gulf South Conference in the opening round Friday at 2 p.m. ET in Saint Leo, Florida.

If the Sharks are able to get past the Argonauts, a rematch of the SSC Championship and third meeting overall with Saint Leo will be in store this Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Sharks are one of four programs from the loaded Sunshine State Conference to crack the field, collecting a 2-1 victory over the region’s top seed Barry this past Friday in the SSC Tournament semifinal round. In addition to the Buccaneers and Lions, Rollins returns to the tourney for the first time since its deep run in 2014.
