Sharks Lock Up No. 2 Seed, First Round Bye in SSC Tournament

After wrapping up league play with a record of 6-1-2 following Friday’s 3-1 victory at Lynn, the NSU women’s soccer team has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Sunshine State Conference Tournament, hosted by Saint Leo.

The Lions clinched the regular season title Sunday afternoon after beating Palm Beach Atlantic 4-0, edging out the Sharks by a mere two points in the final standings. Still, Nova Southeastern is automatically thrust into the semifinal round set for 7 p.m. ET this Friday as the top-two seeds in the conference were awarded byes, and will await the winner of third-seeded Barry and sixth-seeded Florida Tech.
