Shark Club to Receive CASE Award for Achievement in Visual Design
For a second consecutive year, NSU has been recognized as a recipient of the Special Merit in Visual Design Award presented by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, and marketing.
The publication is designed to acquire members to NSU’s Shark Club, the official Booster Club of NSU Athletics. Donations to the Shark Club directly impact the lives of more than 300 student-athletes participating on 17 varsity teams. Whether it is facility expansion, equipment upgrades, or enhancing the academic support programs in the department, contributions allow NSU to provide a first class experience for our student-athletes.
It is no secret that NSU produces champions, both on and off the field. NSU Athletics boast 52 NCAA Academic All-Americans, 65 NCAA All-Americans, 14 Sunshine State Conference Championships, 3 NCAA Individual National Championships, 3 NCAA National Championships, and 5 NCAA South Regional Championships.
The award will be formally presented by CASE District III at the District Awards on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta. Special congratulations to Institutional Advancement’s Director of Annual Giving Michael D’Eugenio, NSU Athletics Manager of Marketing & Special events Kim Carbo, and Publications Senior Graphic Designer Randall McCafferty for their contributions to this publication, making this award possible.
